There was a time when diamonds were saved for “best”.
Jewellery was something brought out for a special occasion. An anniversary. A dinner. A milestone. Something given to you by somebody else.
And of course those traditions still have their place. There is still something deeply romantic about being given jewellery.
But I think something has shifted.
Women today are increasingly buying jewellery for themselves — not because they are trying to prove anything, but because we no longer feel we need permission to value ourselves.
And honestly, I think that is a very beautiful thing.
For years, fine jewellery often felt tied to status, relationships or formality. Diamonds were associated with engagement rings, eternity rings or pieces kept safely in boxes waiting for an “occasion”.
But real life is the occasion.
At Caravan of Stones, I always wanted diamonds to feel part of everyday life. I wanted them woven into movement, travel, colour, memories and personality. Jewellery that lives with you rather than jewellery waiting to be worn.
That philosophy became the foundation of the brand.
Why should diamonds only appear at weddings, black tie events or anniversaries? Why shouldn’t they exist on holiday in Ibiza, on a school run, during a lunch in London or wrapped around your wrist while drinking coffee on an ordinary Tuesday morning?
Luxury has become much more personal now.
People are becoming increasingly selective about what they buy. We are moving away from buying endless things and towards buying fewer things that actually mean something to us emotionally.
And jewellery sits right at the centre of that shift.
I think colour has become incredibly important too.
One of the reasons seasonal colour analysis has exploded is because people are beginning to realise how powerfully colour affects confidence. The right colour can completely transform how somebody looks and feels. It can brighten the skin, bring out the eyes and soften the face.

But more than that, colour is emotional.
The colours we are drawn towards often say something about who we are before we even speak.
That is why I never wanted Caravan of Stones bracelets to feel overly traditional or formal. I wanted women to be able to choose colours that felt like an extension of their personality — whether that is vibrant pink, deep burgundy, emerald green, soft blue or rich caramel.
Choosing colour is really choosing yourself.
And when diamonds are set against colour rather than heavy metal, something unexpected happens.
The sparkle becomes extraordinary.
The movement of multiple natural diamonds woven across colourful thread creates this incredible play of light that feels alive on the wrist. The diamonds catch the light constantly as you move.
It feels relaxed rather than rigid.
More modern.
More emotional.
More wearable.
And I think that is why people connect with them so strongly.
Traditional fine jewellery can sometimes feel intimidating or untouchable. But thread changes the mood entirely. It softens luxury without removing the beauty or craftsmanship.
You still have the incredible sparkle of real diamonds.
But now they move with you.
Perhaps that is why people become emotionally attached to them so quickly.
They do not feel like “occasion jewellery”.
They feel woven into everyday life itself.
More like part of somebody’s personal style language than a formal piece brought out only for best.
And perhaps that is where the thread changes everything.
Traditional fine jewellery can sometimes feel separate from daily life — beautiful, but untouchable. But woven thread feels softer, more instinctive and more connected to the way we actually live and dress.
The bracelets become something people reach for almost unconsciously each morning, the same way somebody reaches for their favourite cashmere jumper, perfectly worn silk shirt or beloved coat.
Not because they are trying to impress anyone.
But because it feels like them.
That, to me, is the future of luxury.
Not jewellery that waits in a box for permission to be worn.
But jewellery that becomes part of everyday life, identity, comfort and self-expression.
Jewellery that lives with you.
