INSPIRED BY A LIFE-CHANGING ADVENTURE

Inspired by a life-changing adventure to Jaipur, India, travel and lifestyle journalist Caron embarked on a quest to capture the city's vibrant energy in a collection of jewellery. Caravan of Stones embodies the spirit of Jaipur – a bustling bazaar filled with dazzling colours, intricate craftsmanship, and a touch of nomadic wanderlust. A contemporary take on Mughal tradition. Each piece is a unique talisman, a story woven with thread and gemstones, meant to be treasured and shared.

A conversation with Caron

It began during a press trip to India with my family. I came across artisans threading diamonds onto colourful cords and was instantly captivated. The contrast of bright, bohemian threads with real, natural diamonds felt so fresh, so full of soul. I’d never seen anything like it – and I knew I had to bring that spirit home. That discovery became the spark for developing what would evolve into the Caravan of Stones collection — inspired by what I saw, but carefully shaped around my own taste, aesthetic, and values.

I’ve always loved the fusion of travel, colour, and luxury – that slightly rebellious way of doing elegance on your own terms. Caravan of Stones was born out of that feeling.

Because they’re natural diamonds – beautiful, sparkling, and full of life. We don’t use lab-grown or flawless stones polished to soulless perfection. We choose real diamonds with real character – the kind you can actually live in. Especially in pavé, they catch the light in the most magical way.

These bracelets are made to be worn, stacked, loved – not locked away. This is luxury, yes – but the kind you live in, not tiptoe around.

For women who are many things at once. I’m a mother, a music-lover, a skier, a traveller. I’ve danced in Ibiza and sat quietly in Berber villages in Morocco. I love skiing because it reminds me of my father, who I adored. I love house music because I never really want to grow up.

Caravan of Stones is for women like that – curious, soulful, confident in who they are. You might wear all black, but you love a jolt of colour. You might be at a gallery one day, at a house party the next. You want something meaningful on your wrist – something beautiful that reflects your story.

It’s about quiet confidence. These bracelets whisper, they don’t shout. You’re wearing four, five, maybe even seven carats of diamonds – but strung on thread, like a keepsake from a secret adventure. It’s a kind of luxury that’s completely self-assured. You’re not trying to show anything off – you’re just being yourself.

And let’s be honest: there’s a thrill in knowing you’re wearing something rare that most people won’t even recognise for what it is.

I’ve been lucky to travel a lot – both through work and just curiosity. India, of course, was huge for me. But I’m also in love with Morocco – especially Marrakesh and the long journey I once took from the lush greenery of the Atlas Mountains down to the vast stillness of the desert, through Berber villages and wild open landscapes. That kind of sensory immersion – the colours, the textures, the sheer contrast – feeds my creativity. Ibiza holds a special place in my heart too – not for the clubs, but for the boho freedom, barefoot dinners, and the rhythm of house music echoing across a hillside. And one of my most unforgettable trips was to Bolivia – standing on the surreal salt flats of Salar de Uyuni, where the ground looks like snow and the sky mirrors everything, followed by the otherworldly pink lakes. I’m drawn to places that feel completely different from home – that open your eyes and pull you out of your rhythm.

I’m drawn to places with a pulse. To colour, to light, to life.

They reflect me, really. I’ve had a long career in finance. I’ve travelled, I’ve raised my children, I’ve lived abroad, I speak languages. I’ve been through tough times and beautiful ones. Like many women, I’m not just one thing. I’m layered.

And so are these pieces. They’re for women with depth, with history, with style that doesn’t follow rules. Some days you want to wear just one with a little black dress. Other days, you stack three with a T-shirt. That versatility is the whole point – it lets you be you, in all your moods.

Family. Without a doubt. I had my children later in life, and they’ve changed everything. My dad passed away over 20 years ago, and skiing reminds me of him. I still take my boys to the slopes, and it feels like a tribute to him every time.

But I also think it’s important to hold onto the parts of yourself that existed before kids. For me, that’s dancing, music, travel, independence. Caravan of Stones lets me express all those sides – and I think that’s what resonates with the women who wear it too.
