Caravan of Stones uses natural diamonds. Always.

I prefer to say that plainly because the origin of a diamond should never be something a woman has to hunt for in the small print. Natural and lab-grown diamonds can look alike, but they do not share the same origin. For me, that difference is part of the meaning of the jewellery.

Origin is part of the object

A natural diamond formed in the earth. A lab-grown diamond is produced through a technological process in a controlled environment. Both are diamond material; neither should be confused with simulants such as cubic zirconia. The distinction is origin, and buyers deserve to be told it clearly.

Another woman may choose lab-grown and be perfectly happy with that decision. I do not need to diminish her choice in order to explain mine. Caravan of Stones chooses natural diamonds because their geological history speaks to the way I think about jewellery: something created across time, worked on by skilled hands and then given personal meaning by the woman who wears it.

Why natural diamonds matter to me

I came to jewellery through travel, colour and instinct rather than through the conventional route. I have always been interested in objects that carry a sense of place and a trace of the hands that made them. Natural diamonds belong naturally within that world.

The stone begins in the earth. It is cut, selected and set. An artisan then makes the bracelet by hand. Finally, a woman chooses the colour, wears the piece and adds memories that no certificate can record. I find that sequence of geology, craft and life genuinely moving.

That is an emotional position, not a promise that natural-diamond jewellery is a guaranteed financial investment. Jewellery can hold immense value in our own minds because of what it marks and who wore it. Financial resale is a separate and unpredictable question.

Why pavé creates the Caravan sparkle

Our design language is not built around one large stone sitting alone. It is the movement of many small natural diamonds that interests me.

In pavé, the diamonds are set closely together into metal components so that light moves across a surface rather than stopping at a single point. Those diamond-set components are incorporated into the hand-made threaded bracelet. The diamonds are not set directly into thread.

The effect is especially alive on the wrist. One section catches the light, then another. Colour changes the mood; movement creates the sparkle. The result is precious without being stiff, and distinctive without relying on a visible logo.

Clarity is part of luxury

Luxury should not depend on blurred language. A customer should know whether the diamonds are natural or lab-grown, what other materials are present, how the piece was made and what aftercare is available.
